About Luke

Texas-born J. Luke Russell has been creating stories since before he even knew how to write. It was Tolkien’s books that inspired him to write books for young adults who want a fresh story in the vein of classics like The Lord of the Rings. Books with creative new worlds, epic adventure, and characters you want to root for. Books where evil is strong but goodness prevails, bringing the reader hope. Aside from writing and melting in the Texas heat, Luke enjoys camping in the woods, being overly-critical of movies, or chugging sweet tea and Dr. Pepper.
